Based in our Troon, Derby and Aylesbury branches, Customer Service and Operations are at the heart of delivering happiness to our customers and helping us grow our business.
The team work directly with our customers to solve their logistics problems by searching our network for the best solutions, quoting for and winning business. But it’s that personal touch that makes us stand out – we make sure every one of our customers' shipments are collected and delivered on time. We track them during transit and if it looks like there might be a problem, we fix it.
The team looks after Parcels, Pallets, Road Haulage, Air and Sea Freight and Storage – providing services for importing, exporting and distribution throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
This is the team that creates, builds and grows relationships with new and existing customers. Operating in the field or by phone, they are based at our branches in Troon, Derby and Aylesbury.
Our Business Development Managers work with prospects to deliver new business revenues to the group. Account Managers are responsible for a portfolio of existing customers ensuring revenue flow is maintained and share of wallet increased.

Working with our Software Engineering Team, the Product Development Team design and deliver our range of technology solutions.
Interpreting customer needs, investigating emerging trends and exploring market opportunities, they design new technology solutions and enhancements to our existing platform. Responsible for the full product life-cycle, the team define our competitive positioning, create specifications, complete UX testing and take products to market.
Ultimately the team are accountable for achieving the commercial results from our investment in technology.
Logistics is a highly automated, technology focussed sector where integration is critical. Ecommerce and the efficient flow of deliveries and data to business and consumers is what it’s all about. We design, build and manage our own logistics technology.
The team’s aim is to write great software that improves the efficiency and traceability both for our own business operations and for those of our customers. To do this we need a team with multiple skills - Developers, Testers, Database Specialists and Solution Architects.
Based in our Bellshill office and working closely with the Product Team, we use Agile methodologies to schedule development work.
Our Finance Team are responsible for a wide range of day-to-day and strategic accounting activities that keep the business in good health. Based in our Troon and Bellshill offices the team consists of people responsible for credit control, purchase ledger and management accounting.
They manage, check and track all our financial transactions - from invoicing customers and collecting payments, to monitoring suppliers’ costs to ensure we are billing and paying correctly.
The team create operational and strategic performance reports, manage our VAT returns, run the payroll for the group and produce our monthly management accounts.
Making sure the finances and processes run smoothly is critical to building and maintaining good relationships with the 3,000 customers and 1,000s of suppliers we work with each year.
Operating from our own manufacturing unit in Derby, our Export Packing business provides a bespoke service, designing and building packing cases to protect and secure valuable, awkward and sensitive goods during transportation.
Our case makers and packers have an eye for solving tricky problems. With a passion for joinery and woodworking they create packing solutions for a wide range of products – industrial equipment, aircraft parts, electrical and mechanical machinery and automotive components.
Using the right materials, packing techniques and sealing methods, they make sure our customers’ precious goods are safe, secure and protected for shipping.
Based in our Troon and Bellshill offices, we have a number of teams that help run the business. By developing strategies and handling operational day-to-day activities, these teams provide essential services to the group to help us achieve our business goals.
HR manage our recruitment, training and development, people policies and processes and help to build the CCL culture. IT develop our business systems and tools to ensure we continue to deliver outstanding customer service and operate efficiently.
Marketing work across a broad range of online and offline communications channels to build the CCL brand, promote our products and services and generate leads for our Sales Team. The Sales Support Team manage the relationships with the parcel carriers we use and set up bespoke parcel services solutions for each of our customers.
